AJ and his dad both lost their home in a break up. His owner was devastated to not establish another residence that allowed big dogs. Before the hasty departure AJ was in inside dog and is housebroken as well as crate trained. He is easy on leash and a more mellow boy. Now at our facility AJ is a bit withdrawn, tail mostly tucked, but we see those moments of silly Boxer in him. He misses his dad.
AJ is fine around other dogs, but some kennel stress has him just fine but not playful. This is often the case for owner surrenders. We see the sweet and kind boy that AJ is. He doesn't want to do anything wrong and just goes with the flow. A home that understands the decompression and slow acclimation needed will find themselves with a gem of a Boxer. He was around children in previous home and did well. He lived as the only dog in original home but could be fine with a calmer balanced canine companion. AJ is about 4.5 years old.
