We are so grateful for your desire to provide a home for a BRLA Boxer.

With fewer Boxers available for adoption at BRLA (and other rescues/shelters) our mission for responsible lifetime matches now requires pre-matching potential adopters to a specific dog at BRLA based on compatibility factors. We can then consider scheduling an appointment if there is a viable candidate currently at BRLA that matches your needs. Please review dog profiles carefully and watch their video for physical attributes when reviewing candidates.

We are so grateful for your interest in BRLA Boxer. Considering all the factors involved at this time we may not be able to accommodate your request.

Let's Find You the Perfect Boxer to Adopt!

The key to our success is the process we use for matching dogs to people and people to dogs.  With fewer Boxers in rescue, compared to years ago, we must first make sure that an appropriate candidate exists for you.   With so few Boxers and many application being received, the review process can lengthy and there can be waiting lists in place.  With many of our Boxers requiring very specific homes, it is critical to pre-match dogs to adopters in advance of physically coming to BRLA. This new normal is much more difficult logistically but we are committed to helping Boxers find the right home and adopters finding the right Boxer.  To ensure a responsible lifetime match during our process is as follows:

  1. Review our available dogs, READ their full profile and watch their video. If we have a candidate for you then Fill out the Adoption Application
  2. We contact you to review your candidate choice and if there is a potential match we set up a Virtual Interview.
  3. The Virtual face to face interview (Zoom or Facetime) will allow full and honest discussion on compatibility.
  4. If it is determined we have an appropriate candidate a Saturday appointment will be set up to meet in person.
  5. Everyone comes to our facility in the east SFV (near Burbank)  to meet your pre-determined candidate
  6. Our team manages introduction and interaction of your selected Boxer to you, your family
  7. If all goes as planned: You fall in love and take home the perfect BRLA Boxer! That day! Adoption Donation: $500

Our adoption steps are simple. There is a Step 6: Please be patient. Adoption is a lifetime commitment and we aim to get it right. We are fortunate to have a strong demand for adoption appointments. Our schedule does fill up in advance so best to get your application in without delay. You may see a dog on our website when you apply that may or may not be available on your scheduled day. Boxers are adopted every Saturday. But  do not worry, new Boxers needing loving homes arrive every week. We are confident you will fall in love when you come to Boxer Rescue LA
