We welcome our trained volunteers to our facility, in the East San Fernando Valley, on Saturdays & Sundays to work hands on with BRLA Boxers. BRLA Volunteers walk, groom, and work on basic training with all the Boxers at our facility. When you are around Boxers, there is never a dull moment. Our facility has multiple temperature controlled off leash play areas along with designated dog walking routes in the surrounding neighborhood. All of these interactions between volunteer and BRLA Boxers are extremely helpful in keeping our dogs happy and making them more adoptable!
YOU can make a difference in the life of a BRLA Boxer by committing to become a BRLA volunteer.
Becoming a BRLA Volunteer is a commitment. New volunteer must be at least 18 years old. After attending one of our quarterly one-day orientations on a Sunday, volunteers in training will have the opportunity to sign up for required further training shifts on a Saturday or Sunday. Within the four month In-Training time period, trainees must fulfill six training days in order to advance from In-Training to a BRLA Volunteer. Training is fundamental in all situations and at BRLA, the dogs teach us SO much too!
