We found a Tamale at the East valley animal shelter. He was an owner surrender to that shelter for being destructive at home. Tamale is going to need a very experienced Boxer owner who can provide equal exercise and training to counter a growing behavioral issue: resource guarding.
When he arrived from the EV shelter Tamale showed no signs of resource guarding. Once adopted in a home situation he started to take control of possessions. He was returned and adopted again by a more experienced adopter but again Tamales possessive behavior was not a fit for all in the home. Tamale needs an adult only home with someone of the highest level of behavior adjustment abilities. This behavior can absolutely be alleviated but only in the right hands.
He is good on walks and non-reactive to dogs on the street. He should be the only dog in the home until his resource guarding is under control. Tamale is just two years old and ready to change. when shown the way.
