SIX came to us as an owner surrender from a loving and caring family that experienced tragedy. When their son who owned SIX died in a tragic accident, his parents took him in. They are older and after a year of caring for this wonderful big boy, they realized they were not the right home for an active playful Boxer. Six lived with kids and a female cattle dog. He lived his life among happy loving people and it shows. He was an inside/outside dog and is reported to be housebroken and crate trained. He was fine alone at home without any destruction.
When an owner surrender comes to our facility, it can be a bit overwhelming and dogs can retreat into themselves. Our team takes the time to let dogs that come directly from a home acclimate at their own pace. Out on walks with other dogs, Six is respectful and curious. But understandably reserved. But get this big marshmallow inside a house and the fun boy comes out. Six loves toys, he loves to romp and he does all this with great control. He has a gentle nature with a side of silly.
His family tried their best to keep him in the family. But what Six really needs is a new family of his own for a lifetime of adventure, love and companionship.
