We pulled Salem from the Riverside animal shelter. He had some wounds on his neck the shelter reported as bites. He went straight to our vet that had to perform surgery to remove quite a bit of dead/necrotic scar tissue from Salem's neck. From what they saw and found they felt the misuse of a shock collar was the cause of Salem's neck injury. His neck is healed and he is ready for a real home that knows better training methods. He is a good boy that enjoys the company of other dogs, but would do best to go home as only dog at first. He needs to gain more consistency in his behavior. He is playful with other dogs but can get over excited or forget he has met a dog. An experienced home that will provide Salem with a positive good routine will make him the perfect boy. He deserves a home that will do right by him this time. He is about 2 years old.
TeamBRLA Notes: Salem is a ball of energy and it needs to be directed where to go! But, he is a sweet boy. He just needs to get away from the kennel and in his own home. When he calms down, he is a sweetheart who loves being loved upon. Salem needs a leader to help him reset.
