Quinoa was found wandering in Fontana. He was emaciated and didn't have a collar or a chip. His finder posted to social media to try and find owner. No one replied so he is now at BRLA to find a new forever. He has a general good nature but life on his own, scrounging to survive had him exhibiting resource guarding of food. This is to be expected and he now seems less protective of his food. He would be best as only dog in the home until his resource guarding subsided to keep everyone safe. He has had no training but he is a willing student. Quinoa is ready to restart life in a real home, with real food and of course a real lifetime commitment. Quinoa is about 1 year old
TeamBRLA Notes: Quinoa is a ball of fun! He cannot wait to get out of the kennel and go explore! He needs to learn to control himself a bit, but with the right leader, this should be no problem. He wants to please - but no one bothered to teach him anything. So we are working on that! He is a sweetheart, loves to run and play, has an awesome natural tail and would add excitement to any house! We haven't seen him around kids, but he does jump. So, a leader who could correct his behavior would be best.
