Olaf is a zippy Boxer boy. He came to us from way out in San Jacinto. He is on the smaller side but big on energy, the need for activities and most of all a strong leader is important. Olaf can be impulsive and does not always make the right decisions since he can be insecure/defensive. He is an athletic guy and needs an active boxer experienced home. He can get too excited when playing or when kids are playing so an adult home is best for Olaf. He does not have the best impulse control so the people around him need to be strong leaders. He lived with another Boxer and is good inside the home but needs more confidence when outside around any stimulus, other dogs, people etc. His reactivity can be controlled over time and with continued training. To provide the best focus it would be best for him to go home as only dog to find balance. Olaf loves toys, really really loves toys. He can play fetch all by himself for hours. He does know his basic commands. He enjoys play groups with other Boxers at BRLA that he has been properly introduced to. And with confident handler supervising. Olaf needs to have an owner that is smarter than he is and not let him get away with any shenanigans. Olaf is about 4 years old and is looking forward to the right humans to change his life for the better.
TeamBRLA Notes: Olaf is such a sweet boy - he just forgets that sometimes! Once you've been introduced properly (he can be suspicious of new people), Olaf is a lover. He sits perfectly and is very treat motivated. He responds best to calm and measured correction. He's a sensitive boy, but definitely needs a strong leader
