Joe is about a year old and came from the Palmdale animal shelter which was full and put him on the Euthanasia list. We got Joe to BRLA where he recovered from kennel cough and is now a live wire of fun. He has had very little training and is very persistent in getting attention from humans. He is learning 4 on the floor and getting better on leash. He likely had little to no experience in the world so can get spooked at new things but his curiosity is winning over his caution.
Joe is a smaller boy with a happy natural tail. He has such a wag that he hits himself in the face when in full wiggle butt mode. He has been good with the Boxers we have introduced him to at BRLA. His new humans have some work to do and having a mentor dog at home may help. With young dogs someone home more than not is recommended to supervise and teach good habits. Young dogs can get bored when alone too long which can lead to destructive behavior.
Joe would do fine with another playful dog in the home. Older kids are recommended due to his jumping up and potential toppling over factor.
Joe is a young dog that needs a commitment of training, time and making him a priority in his new home that will be teaching him everything and making him the dog they want him to be.
