Ivy is about 2 years old and came to us as an owner surrender when her family had to move. She lived with a senior female Boxer and a female small dog, They happily lived together, mostly outside and when that life ended and she came to BRLA, it was a bit of a shock. She was scared and confused which is not uncommon for most owner surrenders. Ivy took her time to feel safe and comfortable and when she did it was as if someone turned on a switch. She went from wall flower to party girl. Ivy loves other dogs and now all people. She has micro-bursts of energy with silly spins and romps. We love that she now seeks attention and cuddles from people and that she is ready to start a new happy forever. Ivy would do great with another dog in the home. She would probably be just as happy as a solo dog providing someone was home more than not. This little girl has shown us what resilience and trust is all about. Ivy is good with all size dogs and all size people. She was not walked much in he original home but she now looks forward to going on walks. Especially with other dogs. Without a lifetime of outside experience, Ivy can still be started by loud noises or surprise events out in the world but she has gained a world of confidence at BRLA and we can only imagine how confident she will be once in the right home.
