Frankie came to BRLA as an owner surrender at a year and a half old. He lived with 3 other Boxers on a large property. The other male was part of a brother sister bonded pair and he began to challenge Frankie. The 3rd wheel syndrome took a toll and the owner decided 4 dogs were too many and wanted Frankie to find a safe happy place of his own. He can be a little reserved at first but quickly becomes your typical Boxer leaner. He walks perfectly on leash and minds his manners in public around other dogs. He seems to be most comfortable around calmer balanced dogs. We think Frankie would be fine on his own as well to soak up all the human attention. He knows some basic commands, was housebroken in his original home and is looking for that lifetime commitment that will help him fully bloom back to the property romping boy he was. He has a tendency to let you know when he is uncomfortable with a low growl and will need a home that fully understand the time and space an insecure dog takes to feel safe.
