Diesel originally came to BRLA as an owner surrender with owner overwhelmed with newborn in 2023. He was adopted but serious health challenges make it impossible to provide proper care, and they have to relocate out of state. The diminishing health made walks difficult and he could be reactive/protective. He lived with his brother and they could egg each other on a bit.
Back at BRLA Diesel has fallen back into a more outgoing, trusting boy that is taking walks with other dogs. It's a step by step process but we see great progress and are confident his social skills will grow and grow. He knows his basic commands but needs some coaxing. Diesel absolutely adores people. He has never met a stranger so all are welcome into his home. He is housebroken and crate trained. A confident leader will help him become more comfortable out in the world among different dogs. But at BRLA he seems to want to make new friends.
