Buddy is about 3 years old and came to us as an owner surrender. They had adopted him from the Burbank animal shelter one year ago. He was very skinny at that time but when his weight and strength returned to normal he was becoming too much dog for this retired couple to handle. He is a lap dog and was good with visiting family members, all over 20 years old. Buddy knows how to sit and will shake. There was another large dog on property that was not social with Buddy so he came with some hesitance in meeting new dogs. With our positive and proper introduction methods, Buddy is learning to be curious of new dogs rather than cautious. He enjoys walking with others and we are confident he will soon feel safe enough to engage in some play. He would be fine as the only dog at home, soaking up all the attention. The right canine mentor at home could also be a good option providing strong leadership and positive guidance. Buddy struggled with allergies in previous home and we are working on better nutrition providing him with a good working system. Buddy is looking forward to continued positive engagement in life and with others. He deserved a home with consistency to help me be the best boy!
