Hanes came from the Palmdale animal shelter as an OTC Stray which means an individual brought him to the shelter. He demonstrated social skills at the shelter but once at BRLA we discovered he can be selective as other male dogs can sometimes be a challenge for him. Strong female dogs have also gotten a rise out of him. But overall and under solid good handling skills and leadership this guy enjoys walking with most dogs and all people. On walks some loud noises startle him and initially toys were foreign to Hanes. Our team has been working with him and he is becoming more comfortable with all. His new home will continue his engagement training and confidence building. A new home where he can be the only dog, to start with, will help him be more comfortable with more dogs in his life before having another one in his home. We believe he can get there in the right hands. Teenage kids or older would be fine for Hanes at this time with some social stability still a work in progress. Overall Hanes is a diamond in the ruff. In a very experience Boxer home with training skills and the time to work with him he will shine in no time at all.
