Sarge was found roaming the streets in a not so nice neighborhood. A nice lady took him in and contacted BRLA. When our volunteer arrived to check him out, Sarge was hanging out in the front yard with no fence and 2 male pit bulls (one intact). This initial sight was worthy of a double take, seeing a dog that does not run off and gets along with everyone. What a nice surprise!
It gets better. Our volunteer took Sarge home and tested him with her young son. Sarge wiggled so much he started vibrating and our volunteer was afraid he may hurt himself. Of course it was just joy exuding from Sarge. He loves kids and is fantastic with them.
Sarge is great on a leash and sits on a dime when asked. While walking he slows down when you slow down and when you stop he stops and looks up to see what you want him to do next. This boy has manners!
He was a little unsure in the car for about 5 minutes and then he settled down and loved the ride. Sarge is a wonder dog and will make an amazing addition to any family.
