This little guy has come a long way. He was near death upon arrival suffering from severe emaciation which took a toll on his overall organ functions. Our vets managed to pull Phoenix through his initial and considerable medical crisis and month by month he gained weight and started to stabilize. The Phoenix had risen! Once he was out of the woods medically, the bi-lateral torn cruciates which were discovered during medical were next on the list to attend to.
Prior to double invasive surgery our team of vets, launched a conservative management protocol for Phoenix to monitor healing. Over time his gait returned to normal and great progress was being made. When progress plateaued, comparative radiographs showed that after giving conservative management sufficient time, surgery would indeed be the final step. Phoenix is in recovery from his first surgical procedure with second to follow. A dog with this kind of resolve and resilience will make the right owner a fantastic companion. An experienced owner will be best in guiding Phoenix to a happy and balanced life.
An adult only home will provide Phoenix with a stress free environment to bloom under watchful eyes and skilled hands. Letís find a home where Phoenix can rise again and forever! .
